Movie Posters/Shows Not Showing Up

Published:

Main Cause:

The POS system needs the TMDB/IMDB ID to hard match to the associated film. If this field is empty, the associated Posters/Descriptions/etc will likely not show.

For more info, refer to the TMDB/IMDB URL section of your POS

If the film is displaying the wrong image, it is likely the Film is still in the process of syncing assets from TMDB and will be resolved when the sync is completed.

You can verify if that’s the case by accessing the Theater Toolkit Portal and reviewing the Film Overrides.

If the showing in the Theater Toolkit Portal is displaying as “Unmatched”

In the event the film is showing as “Unmatched,” you can also use a Feature Override to match it to the associated Film Entry if available on our database or manually input custom assets.

For more information, refer to the Override section of the Movie Management Article.

If the custom assets aren’t loading post-update

In the event the posters haven’t updated with the custom assets, do not be alarmed. It is likely cached in our CDN and can take up to 1hr to start reflecting on the site.

If you wish to expedite that process, you can use the Refresh Cache button shown on the Theater Toolkit Portal Dashboard. This process can take up to 15m to reflect post-Refresh.
