How Do the Default Hero Slides Work:

The generated hero slides will show up for movies whose release dates fall within the set range. We have two settings for this: days before release and days after. This by default is set to 7 for both. So a movie will show starting 7 days before it’s release date through 7 days after its release date. The slides themselves are sorted based on the associated movies’ release dates.

How To Add Custom Hero Slides

Click on the HERO SLIDES section under the CMS tab

Next, click the “+” button in the top, right corner of the page.

On this page, name the slide, and enter a number for the sort order. The higher the number the later it will show in rotation.

Using the uploads, add a desktop and mobile image. Images that are uploaded are saved in your media gallery under the HERO folder.

If you want the hero to link, provide a link URL, and if you want the hero entry to show during a specific time frame, enter in the appropriate date ranges.

For the hero content, enter in text and it will display over the image. If you want the content styled like the generated heroes, you can use this template and replace the values:

Finally, select which locations the hero should be shown, and save the new entry.
