Events Slider

Published:

Sometimes you may want to promote events that go beyond your regular movies and showtimes, such as special performances, community events, private screenings, or other activities. Your Theater Toolkit website can include a dedicated Events section that allows you to create and promote these events using Content Items in the CMS Portal.

Events can include images, descriptions, dates, locations, and other important details, can be limited to specific locations, and scheduled to appear on your website when needed.

This article walks you through the process of creating a new event and adding it to the Events slider on your website.

  1. Log into the Portal: Navigate to https://portal.theatertoolkit.com/.

  2. Access CMS:

    • Expand the CMS section in the navigation.

    • Sort Order: Determine the display order of events.
    • Title: Enter any Important Information (such as the date and time of the event) to be displayed.
    • Desktop Image: This image will be displayed on the individual event page. We recommend an image that is 1920 x 750 in size.

    • Date Range:
      • Begin Date: Choose when the event should be shown on the website.
      • End Date: Set when the event will be hidden from the website.
    • Locations: Select the location(s) where this event will be taking place.
  6. Save the Event: After filling in all necessary information, click Add to save the event.
