Vista Ticket Type Isn't Showing

Published:

List of Possible Causes for a Ticket Type to Not Be Available for a Showing:

1. The new ticket type wasn’t published for the film

The most common and likely reason a ticket type isn’t showing for a film is that the new ticket type wasn’t Published or possibly experienced an error while publishing. Try republishing and verify if it shows.

2. The API isn’t providing the ticket type

The API can sometimes act finicky depending on the circumstances, such as the Web API is erroring out, the permission to sell that ticket type hasn’t been granted, etc.

  1. Check if the film has the “Is[TicketType]Ticket” set to True

  2. If the ticket type is set appropriately to the film

  3. If the API is showing the new ticket type
This would require someone who’s able to read the API to ascertain what’s data is being fed (most likely scenario, one of the Theater Toolkit devs)

3. The site hasn’t picked up the new ticket type

While not unlikely, it does occur. In that event, we can Restart the site to verify if the new ticket type will populate.
