We have a URL available on the websites that allow you to link directly to the seat selection screen for a given performance. The URL structure is:

https://[Domain Name]/movies/[Location Code]/[any text]/[FilmCode]-[PerformanceCode]

The following are the parts you need:

Domain Name - the customer website URL

Location Code - the name used in the URL on the website for a specific location, or that locations RTN# if it has one

Any Text - can be anything. For simplicity, most people just use the word “movie”. It could be “newsletter” or the movie name with special characters removed if you wanted. It is not used by us for anything but is needed due to the normal routing rules for the site.

Film Code - this is the Film Code from the POS.

Performance Code - this is the Performance Code from the POS. If looking in the RTS database directly this number may be represented by a Performance ID concatenated with a 6-character padded Auditorium Id. If coming from the API the code should include all parts already.

The URL for a movie page can be provided using a specific location, or all locations. In both cases currently the URL Friendly movie title is needed (special characters removed, spaces replaced with dashes).

Film Title:

https://[Domain Name]/movie/[URL-Friendly-Film-Title]

https://[Domain Name]/movie/[Location Code]/[URL-Friendly-Film-Title]

Or

Film Code:

https://[Domain Name]/movie/[FilmCode]

https://[Domain Name]/movie/[Location Code]/[FilmCode]

The following are the parts you need:
